Unposted Legal Fees

CA - I fell behind in my HOA Dues for several months. Last month I went online to see how much was due on my account. I paid the total amount due on my account and now the Management company is saying I owe another $1200 in legal fees. These fees were never billed to my account and as of today they still aren't. Some of the fees are 2 months+ old. What can I do? Can they do this?

Start by reading your CC&Rs to see what it says about legal fees after default.

Then ask them to prove that they actually incurred legal fees.
