Water damage to the condo below

Hi,

I own a top floor condo and just recently the owner to the condo below mine discovered a water leak in his ceiling. Upon the plumber's discovered that the water originated from my unit, I corrected this issue immediately so as not to cause any further damage to the unit below. The root cause of the water leak in from my condo to the condo below was that a rodent chewed through the dishwasher supply water line. In fact it was the same rodent that I exterminated a day prior to the discovery of the water leak in the condo below.
This rodent came in though a hole in the wall that was left unpacthed during the condo conversation.

Question:
Who is responsible for the damages in the unit below? What are your recommendations to resolving this issue?

You're responsible. You're dish washer, your responsibility. Contact your home owners insurance and see what type of coverage they offer for such an incident.

I doubt his homeowners insurance will pay for damage to other unit.
