woman suing not paying duesIllinois We have a woman suing the association for water coming in ductwork under the ground--we have to retain counsel as we have not had to in the 20 years of operation. We are wiped of any extra money due to 2 large projects of a brand new roof and new parking lot. We must do an extra assessment to pay for lawyer fees and she won't pay it or her regular dues. She is in no way exempt from dues or extra assessments just because she is suing correct? |

| What do your HOA regs say about fees for the cost of collections and the ability to place liens and foreclose on people for non-payment? You should have had a lawyer review them within the last decade to make sure your rears are covered. |
