What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama


We have a corrupt Board and Management but we are having the issue that some owners don't leave in the units or they don't show to meetings even they want to change the Board and Management. We are trying to put a written consent document document but none of us know how to put the document together.

Please, could anyone provide with a template of a legal written consent or help us out to put one together?

I suggest you and the other owners pool your resources to pay for an attorney in your area who can draft an agreement that is suitable for your wants and needs. Templates do little good if you do not know what you are doing.

Are you looking for a Proxy form which would allow you to vote on behalf of another owner, or are you looking for some type of petition to be signed by owners which would either call a special meeting where you could raise the issues you disagree on or make a change to the Board or Management? To be clear, no one on this forum can assist with the document. For attorney-members of this forum, that gets into professional code violations and, for non-attorney members of this forum (the majority of members), that gets into practicing law without a license.

We can, however, point this poster in the direction of a lawyer in his area who can help him choose the proper form for his needs.

We can also direct the OP to the portion of his state statutes which dictates requirements of a Proxy form, for instance. This is neither practicing law (no more so than is typcially done on this forum) nor professional code violations.
