Hi there! Hired a roofer to tear off the rubber material on the flat part of my roof and replace it with new. This was in August/September. He gave me 5-year guarantee. The adhesive must not have stuck because water is seeping through the soffits after Sunday's moderate wind and rain (rain? In Seattle?) Water damage is now developing on the soffits. Same story as others--Cannot get in touch with the guy, he will not call back. Question: I would like to hire another roofer to fix this and then make roofer #1 reimburse me. Can I legally make him pay me? Give the word and I will hire a roofer and a lawyer pronto! Thank you for any advice.
