copyright infringement structural damage

What is the name of your state? Ohio we found a home design we liked on the internet and made a copy.we took this to 3 builders to see if they were interested in giving a quote.the first 2 told us to get the blueprints so they could give us a firm quote.the last builder stated they had built this house before.we purchased 5 sets of blueprints off of the design company and received the license to build.we handed these to our bank and the first two builders and offered it to the third builder but they said they didn't need them since they had already built it.we chose the third builder since they could start right away.we offered all the blueprints to them once again but showed us theirs and everything looked the same.floorplans, outside etc, exact as far as we could tell.they began digging the basement and started pouring the basement walls.after panels were taken off and 2 weeks had passed the framing crew started.they found one of the walls were bowed and decided to pull on it with a track hoe with their bucket.the wall snapped from top to bottom on both corners clear through.i informed the foreman but he said everything would be alright.water is still pouring through a year later.they want to drill the wall and fill it with epoxy.we have over 170 items on a punch out list not completed.the next major problem is our fireplace 18 feet tall on one side and 9 foot on the other double sided.2'' veneer stone approx. 6 ton.we have cracks in drywall on both sidesfireplace is sinking.we pulled both sets of prints and discovered the orignal print showed a block foundation under fireplace and their print had asteel beam in the middle.the weight seems to be outside of the beam on the floor joist 6 ton.we sent copies of their print to the orignal designer and they informed us they had violated copyright infringements and would be pursuing this.i also told them about the home they showed us and they violated that one also.builder had only ordered furniture layout and had redrawn the foundation because the furniture design didn't show this.the builder is denied any wrong doing but the copyright holder says otherwise.meditation was a joke.not sure how to pursue this in court.in ohio you have to prove fraud or malice to receive punitive or attornies fees.any suggestions.also hvac system is wrong but if followed orignal design would have been ok.structural engineer and architect very concerned about basement wall and fireplace.
