We live in Denver, Colorado and need to hire a contractor to paint the exterior part of the house.

A couple of them included the workman's comp in the bid. I understand about passing that part to us but if it is in the contract and something happens, would that make us liable if workman's comp did not cover everything?

Thank you!

**A: yes, so review the licensing requirement and make sure the contractor you hire has the WC insurance that protects you. Ask to see a copy of the certificate and read it. Ask your insurance agent to read it also.
