"hold harmless clause ?"Georgia - I am planning to have a small renovatiobn project done. The contractor I would like to hire can not provide a certificate of insurance. He is however well experienced and comes with high recommendations from professional builders. Is there specific language that I can include in the contract document that would protect me from any liability, other than what might be caused by my negligence? I believe it might be called a "hold harmless clause" If so please provide language and source. Thank you. Last edited by m martin; 08-28-2009 at 04:07 PM. |

| While you could, the contract would not be binding on those who are hurt. It is just that you could *sue* the signer to defend or pay for you damages. Unless he doesn't have the abilty or money, then you have a problem.
