How to collect on a judgement against a contractor

What is the name of your state? Ohio
Hired a contractor to put new roof on house and a garage.
Had roof off for 3 months with just tarps on roof, lot of rain damage. Finally got roof put on, started garage just put about 4 pieces of wood up, took last $5000 and skipped town, to Pennsylvania. Total amount of job $22,000. Got lawyer won judgement for triple the amount, could not do help us anymore, told us to get collection lawyer, recommended one. After a while she gave up and told us she could no longer help us. We want to stop this person and at least get some of our money back.
Also had to hire another contractor to brace roof would have caved in with weight on snow, another additional $2,000. Also had to hire some one else to build garage, another $5000. Please advise.

**A: why did you give up. Keep looking until you can find competent legal counsel.

The reason we have not continued with this, we do not know who to contact to get help. After 2 lawyers, don't know who or where to find some one else, can you advise?

**A: I looked in the Ohio yellow pages under attorneys and also online and found more than 2 lawyers listed.

Yes I know there are more lawyers, but after getting one lawyer to win judgement, then we got a collection lawyer for trying to collect on judgement. And she told us we would probably never collect. When contractor moved to Pennsylvania he had everything put in his wife's name, and has moved twice since being in Pa. Collection lawyer tried to get sheriff to serve papers and but nothing came of it. She finally told us we were wasting our money. So we don't know what kind of lawyer to get now and who would want to take this one on? Please advise, and thanks for responding

**A: hire another collection attorney or a third party collector.
