What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Illinois

3 years ago we had some work done to our home. The contractor/ builder's work was sub-standard and incomplete. We withheld part of the final payment and hired someone else fix and complete the job. He placed a lien on our property within the required period of time. However, we have not heard from him since. In Illinois he had a 2 year period in which to to sue to perfect and protect the lien. That period has expired. However, it appears that the lien is still on the deed to our home. How do get this lien removed?
