There are several different types of liens that can be placed. And some of them have different requirements. So, what EXACTLY is it you are trying to do.... or being done to you??

In that case, no.

Performing 'housecleaning' services does not meet the particular work that warrants a mechanics or contractor lien in Texas. The requirements are covered under the Texas Property Code and can be found at:

However, if you were to win a lawsuit against the debtor, then you could file a 'judgment lien' against the owner.
