What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NH

I am a sub who is being stiffed by the contractor hired to repair/turn over a Fannie Mae owned property.
When I notified Fannie Mae of my intention to file the lien on their property they said basically 'You better not or else' and then back down when I asked 'or else what'.
I'm wondering if Fannie Mae is any different than any other title holder as regards to mechanics liens.
Also, where would I send notice of the lien? I think FNMA, Washington DC. won't work.

Thanks.

If you don't have experience with filing mechanics liens, you should probably hire an attorney for first few to make sure you do it right.
