| LLC with bad debt What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon
I own an electrical contracting business and we completed work for a tenant in a shopping mall who has since disappeared along with all of their equipment. I've been unable to contact the owners via the business phone or the home and cell phone numbers they originally provided and a phone number search hasn't turned any other numbers up. In researching them after the fact I found that the business was an LLC, which up to this point has not been canceled. I was able to contact the accountant who registered the LLC and he no longer has contact with them and admitted that he wasn't surprised that they failed to pay.
Is it worth the effort to attempt to sue the LLC and/or the principals or are they fully protected by the LLC which I would assume has no assets? |
