What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? Illinois We are currently applying for a home equity loan in illinois. 3 yrs ago I had a dispute with a contractor that did shoddy work on our house. I never paid him in full. In June of this year we had refinanced & had no mechanic's lien on our property. Could he still attach a lien to our property or hopefully it is too late. Thanks for your help.
