Popcorn renovation

What is the name of your state? California

I have a question about popcorn ceilings. We are buying a condo that has asbestos in the popcorn ceiling (we had tests done). For those of you who have renovated or bought properties like this what is your advice. Should this be removed before we occupy the property? How dangerous or safe do you think it would be to just leave it there undisturbed (just wondering what your experience has been with properties that you have purchased and owned).

Would you have these ceilings removed & replaced or would you recommend just leaving them alone?
