341 Hearing Today!!

What is the name of your state? GA

Had my 341 hearing today and thanks to these boards, I knew well what to expect. The trustee asked me about a hefty income tax refund I got back in Feb and what I did with the money. After I told him I paid bills with it he was fine. He requested a copy of the deed on my house and asked if I had considered selling it. I said no, it was for my kids and he said ok. So that was it.. Thanks again..

Glad to hear it went well.
What did your lawyer say when you told him he'd filed in the wrong state?

When i asked him about is a few weeks ago, he informed me that he made the dicision to file there due to the trustee being more lenient, and he felt i would be better off there. Apparently it made no difference since all the exemptions were from my state and the hearing was held at the US bankruptcy court. I looked on pacer and there were many of the cases from GA done this way. Thanks for all the advice
