| I'm from TX. About 10 years ago, my dairy failed and I and my father, who was my partner in the dairy, filed bankruptcy. Our lawyer put some of our debts on my case and others on my fathers case. I completed my bankruptcy plan, but my father did not. Delinquent taxes were on my father's plan. Now, I am trying to save our property by financing the delinquent taxes myself. But I've found out that there is an abstract judgment against the property. This judgment debt was on my father's plan. Is the debt still owed since my father did not complete his bankruptcy plan? The judgment is more than 10 years old. Is there a statuate of limitations for this judgment? |
