Amend exemption?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.

My paralegal accidentally exempted my 2007 tax return instead of my 2008. I have had my meeting of creditors, and now the IRS is turning my refund over to the trustee. Is is possible to file an amendment to fix this? I have no idea what to do and my paralegal is not helping me.
