Attorney not responsive

from texas

hired Bailey & Galyen attorneys at law to file a chapter 7 for me.
their agent assured me that "it would be over" on october 8, 2001

they sent a message suggesting a chapter 13 and its already late october.

planning to move to florida where family lives in one week no longer able to afford to live here in azle, texas.

did i waste my $1200.00?
can i continue this process in florida?
is there anyway to get this law firm (lawyers name is robert marks
to complete this bankruptcy even though i am moving back to florida? i have lived here in texas since 1996
please advise
