At what point can a finance company actually come and reposess a vehicle that is colateral for the loan?

I have missed May 18th & June 18th payments. They are leaving messages to the effect that they want the vehicle.

They also camr to my home yesterday while we were out and left a note on our door. Are they allowed to do that?

Check the fine print of your contract. Usually it tells you there, legally they can at anytime if you are in default.

Did you get another date set to file for bankruptcy? Thas will put an automatic stay for a little while, but unless you are able to get the payments current and keep them current you more than likely won't be able to keep the car, if it is fixable (if it is the same one you had the wreck in)

They will also snatch it at any chance they get, grocery store, work etc.
