Bad attorney?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

My cousin's fiance paid an attorney around $1,500 about 2 years ago for a personal bankruptcy. He has been getting the run-around ever since. No court date or anything yet. He spoke with him up to about 2 weeks ago. Now his phone numbers are all disconnected. Is there any recourse for him? Any special precedure to complain with the state?

He should file a complaint with the state bar association.
