Balance Transfer

What is the name of your state? MA

I did a balance transfer from my 10 credit cards (~ $50k)to pay off my son credit card bills. Now I can't pay my bill and he can't pay his bill either. I am planning to withdraw $15k from my saving account and leave just $1000 in the saving account.

Can I file for for my own CH7? Can I do a balance transfer for the available credit before I file for CH7?

Let's get this right- You're asking if you can max out your credit card with a cash advance before you file bankruptcy? You're also asking if you can drain all the money out of your bank account before you file?

Correct?

So, you've decided to commit several felonies, and you want assistance from others to help you understand how to commit the crime?

The message board is here for those who want help with filing a bankruptcy. It's not here to help those who want to commit bankruptcy fraud.

If you have that much in savings, then you should easily be able to pay off some of those debts and then work on paying off the others over time.

Bankruptcy is designed to help people who are struggling and simply cannot pay their bills to get a fresh start.

It's not designed as a mechanism to get free goods and services for folks who have the money to pay for them but simply do not want to.

I hope you will reconsider your position on this and do the right thing.

so sad..there are people who are forced to file bankruptcy because of unforseen bad circumstances and are definitely not happy about it and then there are those that play the system and what's even worse, they get away with it too, i see it everyday at my job.
