I live in the state of Arkansas. I would like to know with a family of five, how much income tax refund are you allowed to get back from Federal and state?

There are way too many variables for anyone to tell you. We don't know how much you've already paid. We don't know if you've paid just enough to not get a refund. We don't know if you've overpaid by $10 million. Get the picture?

Do your return, and you will have your answer.

Since the OP posted on a bk forum, I'll assume he means will the trustee want a portion of any refund.
He needs to ask his attorney what the pattern and pratice is of trustees in his district in regards to tax refunds.
