Am considering filing bankruptcy but my mothers house is in 1/2 my name worth about 40,000 (my half) how does this effect my filing chapter 7 in New York State. My lawyer seems to not be able to give me an answer. Says it depends on actuarial tables. (life estate - Mom's 75)
