I live in Indiana. I am married and we find ourselves in a large amount of debt. Some of the debt is in both our names, some just in mine. My question is...would I be able to file Chapter 7 alone on the debts I have acquired in my name only? These debts include dept. store cards, credit cards and personal loans.

If you file bankruptcy on yourself only, you must list all debts that you are on. This includes you and spouse and only you and you and anyone else.
