Bankruptcy effect from Canada?

What is the name of your state? NY

If one file for Bankruptcy in Canada and then comes to the USA. Do you think the Canadian Bankruptcy record might be viewed by American creditors to determine eligibility for USA credit cards?

I don't know for sure, but I do know someone from Canada who moved here and had great credit at home. They had to reestablish credit here by buying a car before they could establish enough credit to buy a house. So I would guess that they won't even look at your report from Canada.

What about US Bankruptcy and then money market on Canada?

Thank you

I think it's the same way vice versa. I mean filing bankruptcy here has no effect on Canadian credit cards. Is this usually correct?
