Unhappy

I live in Ohio. Due to a disable child sixteen years ago, we have always had high medical bills and never seem to be able to catch up. We are doing the vicious circle of taking from one to pay another and no matter what are always being harrassed by creditors. Four years ago we had a neuropsychological test done on our child. The doctor filed the bill under insurance under incorrect codes and after two years of argueing with them, we gave up. Essentually, we were sued in small claims court and because she was represented by a lawyer and we weren't, we lost. A simple matter of bringing the correct items to court. As a result, we are being demanded money we don't have. This has set us over the limit and now we are wondering whether to file bankruptcy. We have over 10,000 alone in medical bills not to mention what we had put on credit cards trying to pay down some of them. Does anyone have advice? We will never have good credit, we've settled that. We just want to be able to feed our children.

The law has changed since we filed and now own a home but that was 89 when we filed and one thing Medical Bills are not looked at the same way other bills are.A trip to the attorney office is free the first one that is.I would consult a few attornys because believe it or not some lawyers are in it just for the money and they will tell you any thing that you want to hear...Keep the faith after two years you can reestablish your credit by buying a car on time and making all the payments. If you own a car borrow money against and put it in the bank and in a couple of months give it all back thats instant credit...you must make an effort on all bills try not to be late and your credit will turn around Peace from one who has been there
