Can you file for bankruptcy from prison in California?
How do you wave pre file credit counseling and post credit counseling if allowed to fiile from prison? I have heard of people filing, but I have never seen it done. Any information would be helpful What is the name of your state?

The problem is that the debtor must be PHYSICALLY at the 341 meeting of creditors - can't do that from a prison cell.

The credit counseling thing can be done over the phone or even on-line.

There is a way to "appear" at a 341 meeting via interrogatories, but I don't know much about it and don't know if it's an option for prisoners.

That part might not be a problem. I've seen it done by a Motion to Waive Appearance because corrections refused to approve transport to the 341. No guarantees though.

That case was pre-BAPCA so I have no idea about waiving counseling and debt ed.
