Hi, I am in the process of filing Chapter 13. I have 2 homes which I was told to sell one of the homes. The problem is that I paid 2 months ago and was told I could file for chapter 13. As time pass I have been calling and asking why the forms have not been file yet. Now, the lawyer states that I have to sell the other home before they can file the bankrutcy. They also stopped me from making any payments on any of my bilss. All of my creditors are still calling me and wanting to now when the bankrutcy is going to be file. My question is so I have to postpone filing until the house is sold. If this is the case I should not have apply to file if they new this. I will lose everything because they lead me to think that they are preparing this Bankruptcy and now they said that they can not do anything until this house is sold. This do not sound right. If you have wait for a house to get sold, you may have to wait for months before you can file. I have paid this lawyer $1170.00 on Sept 8th. Please help if there is another way to get this Bankruptcy file before everything is foreclose on me. They have also instructed me to sell one of my vehicles and I am not driving the other vehicle that is in the process of being repossed. Please Help!!! Thanks,YT
