Bankruptcy question

What is the name of your state? PA

My mom filed for Bk back in feb of this year. My car was included in the debts she had to pay back, well just found out that the engine on the car blew. It will cost over 8000 to repair. Is there anything we can do about this, without fear of losing our home?

She was told by her lawyer that both the mortgage and the car payments had to be paid on time or the bk would be revoked.

Thank you in advance for any advice.
