| I filed for bankruptcy in Ohio. The hearing was in October 2000. My attorney never showed up for the hearing. The bankruptcy was never discharged. Now the trustee wants to take my tax refund. I am an unemployed single mother with two special needs children. I need my money. What can I do to stop this from happening? Can I file an appeal? Also, what can I do about this atorney who is derelict in duty? [Edited by rdrush on 01-11-2001 at 06:28 PM] |

| You need to consult with another attorney. There are many who offer an hour free consult. He would be able to see what could be done on the first attorney. Also, this hearing that he missed, was it a creditors meeting. If it was, you too were supposed to be there! |
