Bnkruptcy question

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

We filed chapter 7 in 2007. since then my husband has lost his job and we are trying to do a loan modification on our house. They say our house was not reaffirmed in our bankruptcy. Does anyone know if this can be done since the bankruptcy was discharged in 2007? I called my attorney but have not heard from him. My mortgage company says they can not do anything for us until that is done. Any help would be nice.

Reaffirmation agreements must be signed and properly filed prior to discharge. I don't believe you can reopen a bk just to file a reaffirmation.
The question is, why would you want to? You're upside down in your house and your husband has no job. Don't comit yourself to something you can't afford.
