| My Boyfriend is currently about $3,000 in debt. We are planning on getting married and I am wondering how his bad credit will affect me down the road? Are we going to have a hard time getting loans for cars and a house? Also how can we create a new credit file for him and make sure that this is not going to affect us? I need your advice!!!! Please help!!!!! D.Smith |

| First, you didn't read the instructions, so any response will be general only and not specific to your state!! Yes, you will be impacted by his credit history. When you marry, assuming you get joint accounts, etc., your credit files will merge. Any attempts to get credit using his name will show his history. As to your "how can we create a new credit file for him...". You can't. There are several ongoing scams claiming to establish new credit history files, but that is what they are... scams! There is NO legal way to create a new file.... just clean up the one you/he has.
