Hello,
My boyfriend and I bought a house together in 06/99 since then he has run up his credit card bills. He lost his job and his new job doesn't pay him enough to cover even half of his bills. He now needs to file for bankruptcy and I am trying to help him find some info on whether he should file for CH.7 or 13. If he files for CH.7 could we loose our house(we live in VA)? will his filing for bankruptcy affect me in any way? I have read into the web-sites and books on bankruptcy and tried a live chat but the advisor only sent me to other websites which I have already tried. Can anyone help me with this?
