buying a car during bankruptcy in Wisconsin

Wisconsin

I leased a car before I declared chapter 13 in June of 2003. That lease expires this january. I can't buy the car because the credit union I leased it through is one of my debtors. I am a retired school teacher and always pay bills on time, but the most I can get together for a down payment is 500.
How do I go about buying a car? Get a loan? If so, how? Help!

To start with, you'll need permission from your trustee to incur new debt if you're still in the chapter 13 plan.
