Can Condo fees be discharged after foreclosure? What is the name of your state? Maryland Had a foreclosure in June 2002. An FHA mortgage. Have approx. $15,000 in judgments from condo association that were granted 2000-2002. My question is are judgements dischargeable due to foreclosure (the debt is no longer secured by the property). Also, I am not sure about liens. Would I have to file specific paperwork to be rid of liens (I really don't know if I even have a lien) or again, would any possible lien be "dissolved" because the first lien (the mortgage) has been "dissolved"? |

| Even if there is a lien, it goes against the property (usually) and it could not be sold unless that lien is paid off. If the property was forclosed on and sold, then the lien would have to be satisfied before any sale could be completed. Call the courthouse, the registrar of deeds (or whatever they call it there) and find out. The judgments for the foreclosure are dischargable in BK.
