can I file for bankruptcy?

I recently lost my lawsuit in Fl against a former employer. The employer now wants to collect cost. My present attorneys fees total is now $70000. I have been making a monthly payment of $500 a month toward those fees, excluding cost which are due monthly. Four years ago, I reduce my living expenses to the bare minimum to face my then attorney's obligations. My total monthly expenses are about $1250 monthly, almost half my monthly salary. My only asset is my car which is already paid for. It's worth over $1000, and my father lent me so far $4000 in exchange for the car's title which is still under my name. However, I have not made any repayment on the money yet. A friend also lent me $2000 in January, and I feeling the pressure to repay that amount as well. If the court should direct me to pay my employer's costs, can I file for bankruptcy? Can I do it in a different state where I am now now currently working. And if I do what happens to the money I owe my present attorney, my father and my friend? What happens to my car? I only have two credit cards, and no outstanding debt on them. Should I cancelled them now to avoid any temptation, or will I have to do so anyway after bankruptcy? Who should know that I file for bankruptcy aside from those to whom I owe money? Who will know in the future that I filed for bankruptcy? Will I have to always say to everone that I once filed for bankruptcy?
Thank you for your advice

Is that a typo? Do you owe $70K in legal fees and only make $2500/month. And, you're worried about more legal fees? You need to get to a lawyer asap. {Not the one you owe money too by the way}. Most lawyers give free initial consultations. Get one and lay out the full story. It'll take some time before you can start to repay your friend and, your father but you can do so eventually. You need to get out from under that $70K nut.
