can I file on a consumer after they finish the job?

What is the name of your state?CO.I am currently thinking about filing chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have a pending transaction that has a large deposit on it, and am waiting for my siding to be put on my house that we are keeping. Once the job is complete, can I file on That credit calance, or what could they possibly take? It's not like they could take the siding back off! Right?

You better wait at least 6 months after the completion of the job to file. Any sooner and the trustee will have some problems with your filing, and he will mention the word fraud freely. Of course, by waiting 6 months you will have to file under the new bankruptcy laws and the chances of having many debts dismissed will be severly restricted. At the last BK hearing I attended, a young couple was to to remove the new kitchen cabinets they had just installed and return them to the seller for credit.
