Can I include IRS back taxes in a Chapt. 7?

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? Kentucky

Hi and thanks for your help. I wanted to know if I file for Chapt.7 normally would I be able to include IRS back taxes that are from 1996, 1997 and 1998? I haven's spoke with and attorney yet but considering to file. Thanks again.

I think if it's federal or goverment, you can't file them.

Under some circumstances back taxes may be discharged. They must be at least 3 years old and returns have to have been filed and a few other conditions. Definitely bring this to your attorney's attention.
