can i lose internet service due to bankruptcy?i live in the state of Iowa, and i recently filed for bankruptcy. i have an internet account that is still open, and the account is current. i need to know if my internet service provider can: terminate my service because of the bankruptcy filing even if I haven't missed a payment make me pay for a charge on the account that was charged before I filed my bankruptcy petition. |

| There should be no reason for the ISP company to even know about your bankruptcy unless they were included because you owed them money and could not pay. You are current, no problem. Internet service is now considered a necessary utility for the average home owner and would be included with basic expendatures in your bankruptcy filing. These "monthly" creditors are not even notified of the bankruptcy. |
