I live in MICHIGAN I sold my car to my girlfriend's sister, she refuses to pay, I sold it to as is with nothing wrong with it that I knew. she clams to have filed bankrutcy. I have a notary slip telling me that I can repo if she does not pay me. now that she has filed bankrutcy and if I can't get my $1,100 from her am I still able to repo ?????

The best answer is MAYBE. The first thing to do is find out who her attorney is. If she won't give you the information, she is probably full of stuff, and is just trying to stall you.

Whether she filed BK or not, I'd suggest you find a collection attorney in your area, and pay for some advice. The repossession laws in your state may require you to give prior notice, they may prohibit self help and require you to hire a professional, your agreement may come into issue, the way you perfected your lien on the title etc. &gt;&gt;AARGH!!&lt;&lt; If you're not in the business of loaning money and repossessing cars, spending a few dollars up front in legal fees can save you tons later.
