Can SSI be delcared in Chapter 7

Can SSI benefits that had paid but then subsequently declared not entitled to - be declared in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?

If you owe the government for ineligible funds received, its non-dischargable in Bk. You need to be careful here, depending on your circumstances, non-payment may be grounds for a criminal judgement. Be sure to visit with an attorney on this.

You could put the amount owed into a Chapter 13 payback plan. This would be advisable only if you've already filed a Chapter 7, have credit problems that prevents you from borrowing whats needed, or your situation / amount owed is such that you have no other options.
