Car Question After Filing

What is the name of your state? NY

I hope someone can help with my confusion. I am leasing a car and have filed BK over 100 days ago. I was told that I could keep my car as long as I am making the lease payments, which I am. Now I have been told recently that the trustee can take my car and sell it back to the dealer?? I am confused and concerned because I have small children and need to get around town with them?? I also have NO money to lease another car if they take this one?? Please help....

You likely have no equity if you are leasing so I doubt you have anything to worry about.

It would depend on the amount of equity you have in the car relative to your state's allowed exemption amount.
