chapt 13 almost done, but need help

What is the name of your state?MI. I have been in chapter 13 for over 3 years and have about $6,000 left. I recently lost my job but we still have maintained the payments. However, we just found out my wife is losing her job on Friday and we will then not be able to make payments. We don't want to file chapter 7 because we are so close but we are running out of options. i heard thart sometimes the courts will discharge the bankruptcy for special circumstances. Does anyone know what they are? Please help.

not sure about discharging, however, it is possible that the trustee will allow you to suspend your payments for a short period of time while you and/or your wife looks for other employment
