chapt 7 and tax return????

What is the name of your state? ohio

I have been thinking of filing for chapt 7, but after reading some posts, im hearing that once you file, they take your tax refund, is this correct? so if i file head of household and get earned income credit, my refunds are usually a few thousand dollars, so they would take that??

im just trying to learn more before doing this

thanks

We got to keep ours. It might depend on your income and debts after filing. Even after filing the trustee can tell that we're still going to have it rough.

It might depend on when you file also. I filed in Oct. and my case was closed in December, so I got to keep all of my refund for both 2003 and 2004.
