| We filed cp.13 about 2 years ago, we will have it paied off in less than 6 months. We want to purchase a house. We both have very good jobs now and are able to afford a home. My question is how long befor we will be able to get a home. I recive credit card offers all the time, I don't send them in learned that lesson, but how can I get those with the Bk? We had a lawer but he kept charging for stuff after we paid him and the courts paid him. So I dont like calling him and asking him things...We filed in Ky...May of 1998 |

| First bit of advise--burn every credit card and credit card offer you have, have gotten, or will get! If your payments to your trustee have been on time, and your credit report is clean from the time the court accepted your bankruptcy, then you most likely will qualify for an FHA loan. Call your attourney's office and ask for a lending officer that deals with these types of cases. (They often do this for free, as they get a kick back from the lender!) Since a house is secure and appreciates over time, getting a house is usually much easier than getting a car! |
