chapter 13/7 conversion

I am 4 years into my ch.13 my lawyer advised me to convert to a ch.7 and my bankrupty would be ended.
She told me I would not lose any property in the conversion.
Well I went to the hearing and the trustee want my car,truck,my band acct.(5,000.00 cash)and my tax return.
My lawyer didn't show at the hearing. When I finally got in contact with her she said He can not take any of those things,she said she would quote some law to him and show him that my bankruptcy is over and I keep all my things.
My question is, is there a law in the bankruptcy code that exempts me at this point??? If so what is it....
