Chapter 13 and bank accounts

What is the name of your state? NY WE are filing a chapter 13 -our question is our son who lives with us (adult) has some money in a credit union we are including in our BK. We have closed our accts but can they freeze or take his $$ if he has the same mailing address? Should he switch banks? Am I being silly? Thanks!

If your son's name is not on any of the debt that you are including in your BK, and if your name (and your spouse's name) are not on your son's account as joint owner, than no the bank cannot touch his account.
