chapter 13 buy a car


What is the name of your state? california

i filed chapter 13 last may . i was leasing a car. now i need to buy a car before my lease is up and i would like to know how i can get the approval from the judge. by my self instead of paying my lawyer $585 dollars to do it for me

thanks to anyone that can help

You have to get approval from the Trustee, not the judge. There may be a form you need to submit for approval or you may only need a letter to the Trustee. I suspect some kind of legal form is necessary. I'd call the Trustee if you can and ask what's needed. Can't believe a lawyer who's ALREADY being paid thru your plan would charge THAT much extra to file a form like that.. geez.

yes it pissed me off to i payed 1500 dolars for the filing of my bk and now another 585
