Chapter 13 question

What is the name of your state? KY

We filed for Chapter 13 in Feb. 2006. My husband has since filed for his disability social security and the lawyer thinks he has a good chance of getting it. Will our bk be altered if he gets it? If there is any backpay involved, what happens to it? If they take it, can that reduce our plan from five years to three? Thanks for your help.
